The Chamber of Commerce of the Two Virginias based in Bluefield and Princeton, WV says the time has come to register for the 2024 Bluefield Coal Symposium, which is taking place at the Chuck Mathena Center in Princeton, WV in August.
“We are expecting heavy registration activity during the next four weeks and we urge that all those interested in attending get their registrations completed to avoid being disappointed,” said Jeff Disibbio, President & CEO of the Chamber. “Our Symposium Chair, Bill Reid, has brought together a very distinguished group of industry decision makers to address the current issues in the coal industry and “dig” into the challenges and opportunities of coal so we can all see what the future of the industry looks like.”
The Bluefield Coal Symposium has the theme Using U.S. Coal for a Better America. This national event is jointly presented by the Chamber of Commerce of the Two Virginias and CoalZoom.com. The symposium is being held on August 12- 14, 2024 at the Chuck Mathena Center, 1298 Stafford Drive, Princeton, WV. which is a beautiful 930-seat theater with state-of-the-art audio and visual capabilities as well as stunning architecture. The outstanding list of speakers includes:
· Four coal operator CEOs
· Heads of two government agencies
· Six coal association leaders
· Ten industry experts
There are three technical sessions, two dinners, one lunch as well as top-class entertainment both evenings. The Symposium has four main goals:
· to aid the search for zero accidents;
· to lift the spirits of those serving the coal industry and bring everyone together;
· to help promote MINExpo INTERNATIONAL®
· to examine the challenges and opportunities for coal
The Symposium includes superb entertainment with special live performances by Twitty and Lynn: A Salute to Conway & Loretta as well as an appearance of Exile, who will perform many of their hit records.
